National Robotics Week Drone Working Group

We are hosting our next Drone Working Group (DROWG) on April 9th, 4:00 – 5:30pm (EST), during National Robotics Week. Our topic for this meeting will be:

Field Testing & Operations – Lessons Learned, Challenges & Stories

We’ll hear from 3 drone companies, Enigma Aerospace, GreenSight, and Canvair, who will share their experience as they took their drone technology from controlled, development-friendly environments to the reality of the real world, where unpredictable wind gusts, complex terrain, shifting local regulations, and other factors like local society often rewrite the mission plan and introduce challenges that are not typically seen during development. We will move past standard technical specs to focus on operational lessons that only surface when hardware and software meets the real world.

The goal of this session is to foster a “culture of learning” through shared after-action reports, We aim to equip our working group with what’s needed to navigate the challenges of scaling drone operations in the real world.
