Educational Visits and Workshops

We provide a variety of workshops and student visits, from our weeklong summer academies to our 2-hour field trips. Field trips include presentations and hands-on experiences.


Our 2-hour workshops are designed for 7th – 12th grade students and they include:

  • Engaging conversation about robots Gaining experience with industry robots
  • Solving robotic based challenge
  • Working hands-on programming a robot

Workshops are most impactful with less than 25 students. (we cannot accommodate more than 30)

EF Tours is one of our STEM Champions and over the past three years, we have worked together to bring interactive workshops and robotic experiences to students across the United States.

Program Units

Robotics Overview

One-to-two hour interactive presentation about what robots are, how they work and the different types of robots.


STEM Workshops

We can host one to two hour hands-on workshops using one of a variety of robotic STEM kits including Neuromaker, littleBits, Root and Arduino.


School Visits

We provide a robotics overview and workshops for schools who arrange for students (grades 7 – 12) to come to our facility.

Is there a fee associated with educational visits?

Boston Public Schools are complimentary if we can accommodate with our schedule, all others may have an associated fee. For larger groups, extended visits, and for-profit organizations, there are fees for visits.

How can I arrange for a visit?

We receive many requests to visit and unfortunately cannot accommodate them all. Please fill out an application here and we will do our best to have you visit.

What is the capacity for student visits? 

Depending on the type – we can accommodate up to 25 students.
