MassRobotics is proud to celebrate the continued recognition of our Co-Founder and Board Chair, Tye Brady, whose leadership and contributions to robotics and innovation have earned him several prestigious honors over the past year.

Most recently, Tye was named one of Boston’s 150 Most Influential Bostonians of 2026, marking the second time he has received this distinction. As Chief Technologist at Amazon Robotics, Tye oversees the world’s largest fleet of industrial robots, which recently surpassed one million deployed units. He also played a key role in the launch of Vulcan, Amazon’s first robot with a sense of touch, helping advance the integration of robotics and AI into large-scale fulfillment operations.

In addition, Tye was selected for the Boston Globe Tech Power Players 2026 list for the fifth time, recognizing his sustained impact on the region’s technology ecosystem and his role in shaping the future of robotics innovation.

Adding to these achievements, Tye was honored with a 2026 HardTech Award, recognizing leaders who have successfully launched intelligent and connected technologies at scale. The award highlights his work bringing advanced robotics systems from concept to real-world deployment, creating meaningful impact across industries. 

Before helping build one of the world’s most influential robotics organizations, Tye began his career as a spacecraft engineer at MIT, where he worked on advanced aerospace and autonomous systems. Throughout his career, he has combined deep technical expertise with a commitment to fostering innovation and supporting the next generation of robotics entrepreneurs. 

As a Co-Founder and Board Chair of MassRobotics, Tye has helped establish Boston as a global center for robotics innovation. His vision, leadership, and dedication continue to strengthen the robotics ecosystem, supporting startups, researchers, students, and industry leaders from around the world.
