MassRobotics and Venture Café Cambridge hosted RoboSource 2026. 

RoboSource is an event aimed to showcase and help connect hardware startups with resources ranging from motor controls, circuit breakers and pneumatics to more business related assistance such as leasing and finance support. 

RoboSource holds a series of flash talks to help attendees get to know how resource providers and suppliers help solve challenges startups are facing and the latest technology to support startups:

  • Qualcomm discussed the new Dragonwing platforms for IoT and robotics. The new platforms offer a selection of alternatives to power robotics in the Physical AI space. Examples of the most recent usage are around VLAs (Vision Language Action).
  • E-T-A Engineering Technology showcased circuit breaker technology that helped diagnose complex issues that caused loss of millions of dollars of throughput for large companies. With their circuit breakers, they can help make sure operations are running safely and smoothly.
  • ADVANCED Motion Controls In addition to offering motion control and servo drives, ADVANCED Motion Controls provides support through applications engineers for system integration, motor selection, sizing, and hardware questions. During the presentation, the speaker outlined key guidance for robotics teams: engage with suppliers early, plan for differences between prototype and production demands, conduct real hardware testing, and design for factors like electrical noise and vibration.
  • Foundova Robotics is creating humanoid robots as well as arms and systems to help automate. Humanoids are extremely popular and the automation approach is being tested by many institutions and established large companies. Physical AI can be developed easily on their platforms.
  • Goddard Product Development offers product research and development. They specialize in medical devices, robotics, and industrial automation to assist projects from early concepts to manufacturing.
