SUMMARY:SEGA Robo-Explorers
DESCRIPTION:Nurturing minds is recruiting 5+ volunteers to join our SEGA Robo-Explorers Program inaugural launch in 2026! This is your chance to support SEGA Students as they gain hands-on experience in robotics\, coding\, and STEM problem-solving\, while being part of an exciting new chapter at SEGA Girls’ School. If you are adaptable\, curious\, and ready to embrace a fun\, hands-on teaching experience\, we want you on our team! \nVolunteers will work with students ages 14 and older\, guiding them through robotics projects that build engineering\, coding\, and teamwork skills. SEGA students are bright\, motivated\, and eager to learn\, but often have limited exposure to hands-on robotics experiences. You will guide them to design\, build\, and program their own robotics projects\, encouraging creativity\, problem-solving\, and confidence along the way. \nVolunteers should have experience in robotics or coding. You will work in a small\, supportive team of volunteers\, rotating through student groups\, and collaborating closely with SEGA staff and program leaders. \nBeyond the classroom\, the program offers opportunities to immerse yourself in Tanzanian culture\, participate in school events\, and explore the local area\, including the chance to see some of Africa’s world-renowned wildlife on a 2-day safari!

SUMMARY:Drone Academy 2026
DESCRIPTION:MassRobotics Drone Academy collaboration began in 2019 with our first pilot program run at the Dearborn STEM academy.  See details in this blog post.  As the curriculum became more refined\, we ran our second academy in 2020 – details here.   In 2022 we hosted students and faculty from Hampton University along with Brown University for our third academy to build and test curriculum and the drone hardware that has been developed into a user kit. This new user kit was used for the 2023 fourth Drone Academy where we hosted students and faculty from Howard University as well as a group of high school students
